If I had a list of my favourite cuisines, Mexican food would have to be third only to Japanese and Chinese! I love fancy Mexican restaurants and the slew of fast Mexican food joints taking over Perth. One brand that seems to be everywhere at the moment is Salsa's Fresh Mex Grill. On the surface all the different brands look quite similar, so, let's dive in on Salsa's in East Victoria Park to see their specialties.

Above were the dishes we shared between the four of us. First I just want to mention that the waiter who served us was amazing, very attentive and gave honest feedback when we asked about the menu items! Onto the food, I had the chicken and quinoa salad. I was going for healthy what I got was tasty and delicious. I was teeny bit disappointed that the bottom of the bowl was mostly filled with shredded lettuce, but I guess that's the point of a salad. I really enjoyed the flavours of the chicken and by the end I was very full and satisfied. The mucho protein salad was by recommendation of the waiter. True to it's name the bowl was filled to the brim with meats!
But, my favourite dish by far was the churros. Everyone loved the churros, we were thinking of just sharing churros for two between the four of us, but glad we didn't! We actually received two free serves of churros compliments of the owner! The chocolate dipping sauce didn't blow us away, but the churros were very crispy on the outside, but they're quite fat in size making the centre still soft and creamy. I'd go as far as to say these were the best churros I've had in Perth. I highly recommend everyone try them!

In conclusion... go try their churros! So well priced and delicious! And, have a taco, burrito, quesadilla or salad bowl while you're at it!
