Malaysian Dining Delights by Name, Delightful by Nature - Bentley

The best type of meals are free! Mr. T's good friend celebrated their birthday by inviting a bunch of friends out for dinner. Their dinner was at Malaysian Dining Delights, so not only was I going to have a free meal, but I was going to try a restaurant I've never been to before! Double winning. I haven't heard much about this restaurant, but when we arrived I could see that I've been missing this from my life because not only was it packed, there were people lingering outside the door waiting for a table.

Fortunately for us, we had reservations, so we walked in as if we were VIPs! Straight away, we started stalking other diners' tables to see what they were eating. We were immediately in awe of the Kerabu sauce fish and the special tofu tower. Unfortunately for me, on this particular night I was not equipped with my camera and my phone ran out of battery so I did not take photos of the food (gasp).

Fast forward a week later, I decided my weekly family dinner will be held at Malaysian Dining Delights. From the week before I found out that the kerabu fish had to be pre-ordered, but I didn't find out what it was called, so I mistakenly pre-ordered the assam sauce fish. Anyway, enough of my jibber jabber, here's what we had during my second visit to Malaysian Dining Delight in a week.

Nyonya Sweet and Sour Sauce Soft Shell Crab ($18.90)
Special Telor Tofu ($9.90)

Everyone around the table loved the soft shell crab and the special telor tofu. The telor tofu looked amazing and that sweet chilli sauce was delicious! We thought the tower was hollow and would collapse once we cut into it, turns out it's solid and very soft on the inside whilst crispy on the outside! Also, special mention to the sweet and sour sauce for the soft shell crab, it was like an explosion of flavour in my mouth! Just delicious!

Cereal Prawns ($16.90)

I also loved the cereal prawns! The prawns were humongous and juicy and the batter and crumbing was delicious. I loved the abundance of cereal on the prawns. You can't go wrong with deep fried prawns!

Assam Sauce ($25)

The piece de resistance was the assam sauce fish! I mentioned that I should've ordered the kerabu fish sauce instead, well that was becauce the kerabu fish was presented in the most amazing way that you would just have to see for yourself! The assam sauce though, not as pretty, but just as tasty, well I think... I'm not sure... yet! The fish was cooked perfectly and the sauce was excited all my tastebuds!

I'm yet to try a bad dish at Malaysian Dining Delights! We have been very impressed with all their food and their prices. Mum has been nagging us to go back to try other dishes and try their kerabu sauce fish so I'm sure we will be back very soon!
